To support its current operations and future growth, TSO3 is seeking to hire a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Myrtle Beach 

Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering and Technical Services, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will: 

  • Design new mechanical systems for a low temperature, dynamic delivery, dual sterilant medical device sterilizer, improving quality, cost, manufacturing, service and scalability of existing designs
  • Collaborate with electrical engineering and advanced sciences team to develop new products according to the development timeline
  • Engage in all phases of support to existing products, including changes to design, architecture, documentation, testing, and supplier interactions
  • Identify new suppliers and validate supplier quality controls and capabilities
  • Lead product subsystem development from program kickoff through to design transfer to manufacturing
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to leverage strategic out sourcing objectives and common technology initiatives


  • Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of engineering design experience in positions of increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrated design success in any of the following: Structural Analysis, Thermal Fluids, Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Vessels and Pumps
  • Strong NPI/NPD experience developing Mechanical, Thermal and Fluid systems in a heavily regulated industry
  • Strong Solidworks CAD skills
  • Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC/FDA/TUV standards and how they apply to product designs



  • Demonstrated technical leadership working on a product development team
  • Energetic self-starter that is results oriented and able to multi-task
  • Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost and serviceability targets
  • Advanced computer skills in work processing and analytical tools
  • Excellent teamwork, coordination and collaboration skills
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills- Bi-Lingual French/English is a plus
  • Global project experience.
  • Medical device product development experience
  • Analytical, methodical, curious and organized
  • Experienced in the development and the execution of verification and validation plans
  • Available for international travel between Quebec and Myrtle Beach SC
  • Advanced computer skills in work processing and analytical tools
  • Integrity – Able to maintain productivity and composure in front of customer and working without direct supervision.
